The Motorcycle Awareness Week started in Canberra with a bang with Bikefest, a celebration of motorcycles. Many of the clubs attended, as well as motorcycle bike shops, AFP, Stayupright and many others. The Canberra Branch of the Ulysses Club came along, having been on a ride first. BikeFest was launched by Senator Kate Lundy, and the JOE Rider (rider awareness campaign) was launched by MLA Mary Porter.
