Update info...
Well Hi Folks, Dutch here to update you on the Gladstone gaol weekend.

A few people have asked can they camp or bring the van the answer is yes. No you don’t have to ride. Yes friends and family are welcome this is after all a social event.

I’ve also been asked about power in the cells for people with medical needs and the answer is yes. The cells in A wing have power, the location of power points differs so do look and choose a cell that suits your needs.

Now that you’ve had time to think about the weekend I suppose it might be a good Idea to tell you were to send the money. Send it to Gladstone Gaol Weekend C/O DJ Holland 8/80 Ashfield Rd Elizabeth 5112. Please include a self addressed and stamped envelope if you wish a receipt. Until next time go with the flow and enjoy the ride.

Please keep this number handy. You may already be aware of this but for those who don't, you can call this
number to report any road hazard, including traffic lights not working. Even debris on the road, such as broken glass, bits of sharp objects
around the traffic islands at an intersection, as an example. Not just for motorcyclists but even if you're on a pushbike, etc.

sick list

Mick Tregeagle
(the guy that bought the Jaffa trike off Stoney)

Mick is currently in ward S3, bed 25, at the RAH with 2 broken legs and other minor injuries,
after coming off during Sunday's (6th April) ride.

Sean Harvey and Marilyn Bates

On Sunday 4th of May, during our weekend ride Sean Harvey and his better half Marilyn Bates, had a very nasty fall.

The fall happened on a back road off of Menglers Hill Rd. Sean’s arm was broken, he also lost some flesh as he slide across the road surface, he will require some skin graphs.
He is currently plastered from fingertip to shoulder; he is home very sore but in good spirits.

Marilyn’s leg was badly broken and it was necessary to lift her out by chopper.
The leg has been pinned and she has lost about an inch of bone Marilyn will be in hospital for some time and Sean assures me that she would like some visitors.
NOTE! As at 28/5/2008 (for this website) Marilyn Bates is now... at the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, Hampstead Road, Enfield .

At this time I would like to thank all of our members on the ride. The actions of the group were quick, and all the right things were done.

I cannot think of a single thing that could have been done better.

"Ride your own ride", is a motto of this branch.
We respect and support the idea that not all riders can or will
ride at the same speed at the same time.

Riders are encouraged to always ride at their own level of competence.

"Grow old Disgracefully & Safely"

Ok some notes on this web page...
this site was designed to look best on 800x600 resolution.
It was constructed with bits of old paper and string, and a can of house paint :)
