With all of the rain of late I've missed a few rides so it was pleasing to wake up on this Sunday to some blue sky and a moderate wind. Not quite a perfect 20 degree day but that's August in Canberra for you.

The rendezvous this morning was Nicholls with Ian P to be the ride leader. Ian P gave us the low down on the ride with the first stop to be Boorowa for morning tea. A very pleasant ride to Boorowa it was too. The conversation that morning was varied although we naturally covered the topic of voting. Ian P. confessed that he'd rather have ‘piranhas nibble his testicles’ than vote for one of the minor parties which had us alternating between hilarity and revulsion at the thought.

Back on the bikes we dutifully followed our ride leader on an excellent ride through Murringo and Bendick Murrell. The countryside is really starting to look lush and green with all of the recent rain and there were some lovely panoramic views on offer.

Lunch was had at the Albion Hotel in Grenfell with hamburgers being the meal of choice for most of us. We then settled in to a session of general chatting and bawdy joke telling.

The ride home was pleasant and uneventful. Another great day out!!!
