We hereby nominate Heather Knowles – Member #38058
Heather Joined the Ulysses Club in 2004 and affiliated herself with the Albury Wodonga Branch, almost immediately Heather was involved in Branch Activities on the social committee assisting with arranging the Christmas Social Activities.
Heather was recruited onto the Tallangatta Rally Committee in 2010 where she understudied the Rally Coordinator, in 2011 Heather became the main Point of Contact for the Tallangatta Rally and is on that committee till this day. In 2011 Heather was also elected to the Branch committee and is still an active member of the committee.
In 2012 The 2015 Ulysses Club AGM Event was awarded to Albury Wodonga Branch to conduct, in 2013 Heather took up a Manager Role on the committee as well as the Volunteer Coordinator Role also assisting the Trader Coordinator until the start of the event.
2014 With the resignation of the then Director Peter Hollman and the appointment of Blue to the position of Director, Heather was drafted into the Secretary Position which she performed with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The Director of the 2016 Ulysses Club AGM Event Launceston asked Heather and Blue to take on the role of Trader Coordinator for the Event, both Heather and Blue devoted a considerable time to this role, visiting the Event site on 4 occasions prior to the event.
At the 2016 Event Heather and Blue were approached by the Directors of the 2017 and 2018 AGM Events with a request to take on the role of Trader Coordinator for both events which they both accepted. At the 2017 AGM Event the director asked Heather if she would again take on the role of Trader Coordinator at the 2019 Ulysses Club National Rally Mornington, again accepting the role. Following on with this pattern Heather was again approached by the 2020 Ulysses Club National Rally Secretary and asked if she would be the Trader Coordinator for the Lismore National Rally.
In the 15 years Heather has been in the Ulysses Club she has taken on a variety of roles with enthusiasm and professionalism being both at Branch Level and Club Level.
We the undersigned have extreme pleasure in nominating Heather for the prestigious award of a Dearnley Medal for meritorious service to the Ulysses Club.
